The Irish whiskey industry declined in the 1800s. However, here in Belfast McConnell's endured - outlasting many others. Now that name is back, heralding the return of the city's illustrious distilling heritage.

McConnell's was first established in Belfast in 1776 and was a hugely successful brand for over 150 years. Now the brand is thriving again and the team at Belfast Distillery Company is immersed in "Restoring The Legend". Brothers John and James McConnell would be happy that the business they built in Belfast years ago is once more in excellent spirits.

McConnell's Sherry Cask Finish is aged for 5 long years, matured in 1st fill select Bourbon barrels, then finished in the finest Oloroso Sherry Casks which bring out rich aromas of dried figs, dark chocolate and lingering spice. Bottled at 46% ABV, non-chill filtered.

TASTING NOTES
Nose: Dried Figs and currants followed by Christmas spices such as nutmeg and cinnamon, dark chocolate, and a hint of fresh leather.

Palate: Demerara sugar, dark ripe cherries and black raspberry followed by bitter dark chocolate shavings and rich red apples.

Finish: Lingering oak notes, with a hint of leather and subtle clove spice.
